Like other posts, i wanted to hire a car from Heraklion airport and drop it off in Sitia. Having read some reviews, some good and some bad, i read one about Minoan Tours car hire although it was from a few years ago. Checked the website and found they were still in business. Cut long story short, Micheal (The owner) was waiting at Heraklion, the car was clean inside and out, new tyres
( i always look, good indication if its maintained properly). In reasonablely good english he explained all the controls, petrol was 1/4 tank and off i went.
Good points: Car clean & Tidy, Friendly Service, On time. Full insurance included ( which was good as I had small scrape, no problem said Micheal, it is covered, phew !! )
Bad Points: Compared to other car hire I had looked at, there isn’t any, i suppose the only thing is the one way charge, but that was really small ( 50 euro’s ).
Overview: I have now used them several times, no problems. I have recommended them to friends. Small business gives excellent service.
I believe in giving praise where its due as well as dishing the dirt when the service is rubbish !
