Explanation:
You must have Java installed on your computer in order to see the navigation menu, and it must be functioning properly. This error means you either don't have Java installed yet, or your Java is not working correctly.

How to fix the problem:
Java is a free download. Not all computers come with Java pre-installed. You probably just need to install Java on your computer. Here you can find instructions on installing Java for your operating system and browser.

If you already have Java installed and are getting this error, your Java may be out-of-date or is no longer working. In that case, your Java needs to be upgraded or reinstalled.

How do I install Java for the first time? Where do I get it?

If you've never installed Java on your computer, you'll need to do so in order to function properly. It's not uncommon for new computers (particularly those with Windows XP) to ship without any form of Java installed, so don't panic if you don't have it. Java is a free download and is easy to install.

There are different versions of Java for the different browsers. Here are our recommendations for which version of Java to install for each browser.

If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer, MSN, or AOL:
We recommend using Microsoft's Java VM for these browsers. To download the Microsoft VM, please enter the following web address into your browser or click the link below:

http://www.wildtangent.com/install/jvm/msjavx86_3805.exe

Instructions
When you're asked whether to 'Open' or 'Save' the file, click 'Save'
Save the file in your 'My Documents' folder. This will make the file easy to find once you've downloaded it.
The file is 5.2 Megabytes, and will take about 40 minutes to download on a 56K modem. Make sure you get the whole 5.2 MB of the file
Once the file download is complete, use 'My Computer' to browse to your My Documents folder.
Find the 'msjavx86_3805.exe' file and double-click on it to start the installation.
When asked 'Would you like to install the Microsoft VM?', click 'yes'.
When installation is complete, you may need to restart your computer.
If you have problems downloading the file or installing it (i.e. - 'Not a valid Win32 application' errors, etc.) then you probably didn't get the entire 5.2 megabytes of the file. You'll need to re-download the file again, and make sure you get the entire 5.2 megabytes.

If you're using Netscape, Mozilla, Opera or some other browser :
We recommend using the Java 2 plugin from Sun Microsystems on these browsers. Here's how to download the Sun Java 2 Plugin for the first time, or to upgrade from an older version:
Go to the Sun Java download page at: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp
The page will automatically detect your operating system and browser, and begin downloading the plugin
When the license agreement screen pops up, read the agreement and click 'yes'
When the installation is complete, you'll see a 'Installation Completed OK' box and the download page in your browser will confirm that your Java has been installed.
You should clear your browser cache before playing again, just to prevent problems with older cached applets.

If you still receive a errors, or you're still experiencing the same problem you were before, please make sure that you've enabled the new plugin in your browser.
