Our Location

Palekastro-Hiona-Plakos

4 kms far from Palekastro and just 2 kms far from the famous beach of Hiona the deserted place Plakos lies. There is a dirt road which reaches the last small beach of the area.

You need to open the door of a fence at the location of Bodalaki beach, 700m east of Hiona beach. Don’t forget to close it again. The area is wild and combines the clear blue of the sea with the coarse landscape of the Cretan countryside.

At the route of 1,5 kms from Hiona you will meet a lot of small coves suitable for swimming in perfect privacy. This route is lent to walk especially in spring and autumn, when you will see scarce wild flowers in the rough and impressive landscape, far from the noise of the tourist traffic.

Figure out that the time you will need to walk is not more than 1 hour from Hiona beach to Plakos beach including the return. The route is very easy and unwearying.
